Terms of Service

These terms apply when you download, try or buy Checkora (“the app”). By using the app you agree to them.

Free trial

You can use every feature free for 14 days. After the trial, some features require a license. Basic features such as the menu bar stats and the Complete Checkup remain available.

Purchase and license

Checkora is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing and sales tax. When you buy, you receive a personal license key. A standard license may be activated on up to 2 Macs that you own or personally use. You may move your license to a new Mac by deactivating it on the old one.

You may not share, resell, publish or distribute your license key, or attempt to bypass the licensing system. We may deactivate keys that are shared publicly, obtained fraudulently, or refunded.

Updates

Your one-time purchase includes updates to the current version of Checkora. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Using the app responsibly

Checkora can move files to the Trash, disable startup items and quit apps — always after asking you. Please review what you remove. Items moved to the Trash can be restored until you empty it. Keep regular backups of important data.

Used Mac inspections

The Used Mac Inspection reports information read from the hardware and macOS at the time of the check. It helps you make a decision but it is not a guarantee of a Mac's condition, and we are not responsible for any purchase you make based on it.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that it will be error-free or suitable for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
